Thank you to the Fenway Institute & ABCD for creating space for my #HIV identity. 6 & a half years ago I was diagnosed with #HIV. 2 years ago I began my relationship with #Complera. I often hear about this #GettingToZero campaign- promoting this grandeur idea of an AIDS free generation, no AIDS-related death, no #stigma. Bold, right? What does that mean for someone- like me- who has lived & lives with this virus? Even though I #advocate for #unapologeticauthenticity there are times that I don't want to look at that pill bottle. There are moments that I don't I want to be reminded what a statistic I am( 1 in 2 Black MSMs will contract this virus in my lifetime). There are times I want someone to fight with me, fight for me...remember me & the countless others who compartmentalize this peek-a-boo, scooby dooby doo where are you cure. Tonight, I was given an opportunity to share my insight. So I decided to share a piece I wrote instead with the help of an artist who speaks to me.
