"Hey, I'm so sorry but we're actually closed!" Once again, she'd forgotten to lock the door, a bad habit she'd fallen into when going through the motions of closing the store for the night. With the sun already set and most of the lights already out, she hadn't expected the soft chime of the bell above the door to actually ring, and yet there she was. Closing alone was already somewhat unsettling (and she didn't do herself any favours by ready scary stories late at night) but she stepped out from the back room anyway. What's the worst that could happen, right? "Okay, look, I'm not meant to do this but if you can give me a really good reason you need to shop right now, I'll turn the till back on. You have to shop in the dark, though. I'm not walking into that dark storeroom to turn the lights back on." She braced both hands on the counter with a grin. "It can get a little creepy back there."
