🌀 Quantum physics: duality, logic, and the end of our everyday understanding ⚛️🤯
In quantum physics, we encounter a hard limit: some phenomena cannot be understood either logically or intuitively—and yet experiments force us to accept them as real. Particles are waves.
States can exist simultaneously. A separate quantum logic replaces our familiar everyday logic.
The famous wave-particle duality remains unexplained to this day. Einstein's hope for hidden parameters did not come true – Heisenberg's uncertainty prevailed.
We don't have to be ontological dualists to accept dualities in our physical worldview. The unity of phenomena arises precisely from their radical diversity.
These questions touch not only on physics, but also on our understanding of reality, knowledge, and consciousness – and connect with neuroscientific and philosophical perspectives, as discussed in the interview with Gerhard Roth, for example.
Where does explanation end – and where does acceptance begin?
