Does this apply to reading classical novels or literature? I would like your opinion oh wise onee

oh shiiit i'm being mocked no oh no but still i feel like that situation depends a little bit more? but even so, people usually read classical literature for educational purposes and we always view them as primitive because of the lifestyle and forms of writing (aside from the fundamental forms they gave us) and i'm not saying that no one in the whole world can possibly actually like classical art/literature, but it's definitely a lot more difficult to comprehend thus more frustrating which is why people often equate these classical art forms as being a sign of intelligence. i'm not saying that it's impossible for people to have a genuine interest in these things, but those people are far fewer than people who try to use them to feel superior

Your response to the anon about John Green's books is exactly how I feel about them and I've never been able to give a good explanation when I tell people I don't like them. Now I'll know what to say :)
