My apologies for not going Belgian this evening, but I almost unconsciously pulled out and poured this 14.9% Uncle Jacob’s Stout Batch No. 6 (bottled 24 Feb 2017) from Avery Brewing Co., so now I just have to sit back and pay the price ... and it looks like I should have paid for a couple more of these 6 month bourbon barrel aged beauties way back when. Wow, thick and delicious, full of the usual stout flavors - plus the bourbon barrel effect - without needing any tricks or gimmicks. Simply YUM.
