i know alfonso isn’t super dark, but he’s also not nearly as pale as a lot of stuff made is making him look lskdjfas. he’s got an obvious bronze ( and pretty, gdu boi ) complexion.

my friend is watching thex ( bc i made her and she was letting me use her hulu to watch it anyway so |: ) and she was like ‘ so jessica was sent by the church order / maria to try to convince tomas to go against being a priest / distract him, right? without realizing what she was doing, she was being blackmailed to be there ‘ and i’m shook.

not saying that’s what happened

also -- totes believe that he was in love with the memory of her ( something beautiful ) more than actually her. she mattered when they had there thing, later -- in canon -- it was him grasping at what it was / him unable to balance his doubt and love for god with the shit going on.
