undead beings whose bodies start to decompose after a while, so they need their necromancers to regularly knit their bodies back together using magic.

unfortunately, that means undead beings under the power of cruel necromancers cannot escape. after all, they wouldn't last long without their necromancer's magic to heal them before their bodies start to decay and crumble. and that's not even mentioning the fact that many necromancers having a complete control over their thralls' bodies and sometimes even minds.

there is another option, however... rumor has it that by drinking the blood or eating the flesh of a necromancer, an undead being can gain their magic and use it to free themselves and heal their own body.

having the ghost of your lover remain with you even after their untimely death. others expect you to be grieved, but you are not; they're still with you, aren't they? their funeral isn't a tragedy for you; it's a celebration of their new life, and all the new ways they can now love you as a spirit. the eulogy is like a wedding officiation; the funeral flowers are a bridal bouquet; the veil of mourning becomes a wedding veil; and having sex with their spirit in the back of the funeral hearse is an act of consummation.

imagining a well-meaning person seeing what appears to be a sickly-looking stranger dying. when they rush over to try to help, they find that the stranger has stopped breathing. the attempted rescuer tries to give the person mouth-to-mouth in order to resuscitate them.

what they didn't expect, however, was for the stranger to open their eyes in shock at the mouth-to-mouth, caught off guard (and maybe more than a little bit turned on by the passionate "kiss"). turns out they were just undead, and merely resting. but the kiss itself wasn't quite that bad, and the stranger really wouldn't mind another one.
