Hey so I just found my artwork for sale on Teechip, stolen, of course. How did you manage to fight them? I filed a report already
I just want to say I’m sorry to hear that TeeChip stole your art; that’s a real damn shame. Scum of the earth.
Honestly, I had a lot of help from people to make multiple takedown reports since TeeChip is notorious for art theft. Even with the help, I had to be pretty persistent with my reports for a few weeks and keeping an eye out for “new” campaigns after the old ones I reported ended. If TeeChip thinks they can get away with it, they’ll keep doing it even if it was reported. Takedowns don’t mean to shit to them, sadly, but you have to keep reporting any new campaigns that pop up.
Some things that might help speed up the process are getting multiple people to help report the campaigns, if there are multiple. Also be on the lookout for facebook ads since they like to advertise their “new” (aka stolen) shirt designs quite often. Those are definitely reportable to facebook and I think they hold more weight than TeeChip’s own takedown notice report. Spread the word and get people to report those too if they’re able to view them.
I really hope you manage to get your art taken down! Good luck, TeeChip is hard to deal with and just goes to show why we need more strict measures against this kind of art theft.
