Zephy in Winter ❄️
This is Zephy from my AU Underblanc.
He’s a “caged Papyrus,” unable to step outside.
He can’t touch the snow,
but the winter mornings he watches through the window
are his favorite moments in the world.
Wrapped in a warm mug of cocoa
and an oversized knit sweater,
he quietly gazes at the whiteness of the world once again today.
Thank you for waiting… here’s a little more UnderBlanc 💛🌼
The fire warmed the room,
and by the time Frisk’s fingers stopped shaking,
the table had filled with steam.
A bowl of hot soup.
Small pieces of crusty bread.
The same warm smell she had sensed outside—
now right in front of her.
Frisk climbed into a chair,
gripping her spoon with both hands.
“Go on,”
Toriel said gently.
“Can you eat?”
Frisk nodded,
and took a tiny sip.
—Warm.
It sank all the way down her throat,
loosening her chest
in a way she had never felt before.
She bit into the bread next.
Soft sweetness inside,
a crisp crackle outside—
each bite falling apart like sunlight.
She had never tasted anything like this.
Never known food could feel
kind.
Frisk ate and ate,
eyes going soft and blurry,
her little face so serious with each bite.
“My,” Toriel murmured, smiling.
“You’re enjoying it so much.”
Muffet folded her arms proudly beside her.
“Oh, children are cutest when they’re eating,
don’t you think, Lady Helle?”
“Indeed.”
Frisk’s eyelids drooped.
Her head bobbed once,
then again.
“…sleepy…”
“You’ve had a full meal,”
Toriel whispered.
She lifted Frisk from the chair—
a light, warm bundle—
and Frisk instinctively curled into Toriel’s chest,
breathing soft little breaths
that sounded like comfort.
Toriel laid her gently in the bed prepared for her.
A thick white blanket pulled close.
Frisk curled up like a small moon spirit,
hair spilling over the pillow in pale strands.
Toriel touched her cheek,
listened to the steady breathing,
and finally turned away.
“Muffet,” she said quietly.
“Look after her, and… the other place as well.”
“Of course~
I’ll check on things during my rounds.”
“Thank you.
I’ll be going to the old home.”
Her voice dimmed.
Too many memories waited there,
and yet she couldn’t avoid it.
Toriel slipped out,
her white robe trailing softly behind.
Torchlight flickered on the stone walls,
casting a long, lonely shadow.
Muffet skipped down another hallway,
two arms holding a lantern,
the rest lifting her skirt as she moved lightly.
“My, my…
she really was such a white little thing today.
The flowers must’ve been surprised.”
At her words, a tiny spider rustled nearby,
tapping its feet in agreement.
Muffet smiled and continued deeper into the ruins.
The dark corridor brightened—
opening into the heart of the place.
A field of golden flowers.
The only well of sunlight in the entire Underground.
The same spot Frisk had fallen through.
A pit on the surface.
A well of light below.
Muffet greeted the flowers with a bow.
“Good day, everyone.
Blooming beautifully as always.”
The petals swayed in air that did not move.
As if answering her.
She tended to them with her six arms,
clearing wilted blossoms, leveling the soil,
checking sweetness in the hidden pools of nectar.
“…It’s been so long,”
she whispered,
“since we’ve seen a child that white.”
Her voice dissolved
Snowdin chapter is coming soon!
Finally, Sans and Papyrus will appear ❄️💀💚
I’m so excited to share more of UnderBlanc with you.
Translation takes time, but I’m working hard!
Thank you for waiting. ✨
