I feel you on the loneliness. Not with this game, but like... everything else in my life. It sucks. You sure you don't want to move to Chicago? ;)

agreed, i just think it’s… not good business sense to launch a new console in march and not the holidays or summer? but i understand them not wanting to rush it *or* push it back more unnecessarily. march is just a not-great month for launches.

Well, I can’t claim to know what’s going on with that launch date, yeah. Maybe they just thought something like: “well we released the Wii U a month or so before christmas, and that didn’t help it much, but we released the 3DS during March and that has sold a lot better, so we should release this next console in March too!” Or maybe they want to release it earlier during the year and build up to a decent library of games by the holiday period so it sells more then or something, idk.

This weekend is splatfest so you should play during that if you find the time :) even if you don’t *play*, just walking around the plaza/maps in recon during splatfest is fun!

I dunno about participating in that... It might be a bit much for a beginner.

I'm everywhere! :D you can use the cat suit to climb to the top of the flagpole. And you can keep the cat suit in your extra item spot (just get another item to force it in there) so you only pull it out as needed. I like the cat suit but it is different!

Yeah, I've seen the cat power-up used to climb the flagpole before, and did it myself on at least one or two levels, but I didn't feel like it was a reliable way to do it every time, you know? But I hadn't really thought of using the backup item for it. I'm too used to Super Mario World (the SNES launch title), where your spare item fell down as soon as you needed it. I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen in Super Mario 3D World. That spare item would probably make my life a lot easier in a few ways if I used it properly.

I mean, I can also apparently use a second controller to just add a new player at the last minute in each stage to suddenly have Peach appear from nowhere to grab the top of the flagpole for me, and then just have Mario or whomever I was using grab it at the bottom and it counts as a clear for both characters and get the golden flag. I'm not gonna do that, though. I'll probably just try to have a bell in my back pocket at all times from now on.

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't buy Golden Sun 2 yet (even though I know I'm going to play it), haha
