Character Summary:
Shizuo absolutely despises Izaya with a passion. He's a bit of a brute, and let's be honest, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. He may lack smarts but he makes up for it in strength. Shizuo's good with kids as well, and even though he pretty much hates high school, he deals with it.
Biography:
Shizuo grew up in a pretty strange family. Little brother, mother, but no father. His father was an alcoholic, and his mother left him when Shizuo was five years old. His old man left behind only one thing to remember him by; his guitar. His mother was going to throw it out, but he insisted on keeping it, and slowly learned to play. The guitar became his favourite thing. Shizuo took care of it, fixed it up, kept it shiny. He learned anything, from rock to country to classical.
When Shizuo entered high school, he wasn't able to get along with the other kids. And he wasn't allowed to play his guitar either. He met Izaya there, and this is what forced him to leave. At age 17, he enrolled in Raira Academy, trying to get away from the raven-haired male.
RP Sample:
Shizuo leaned back against the school building, staring up at the milky blue sky. It was a nice night. His guitar was strapped to his back, hidden away in it's case. The old thing was nearly twenty years old now, and he was honestly surprised that it was still in tact. Well, that was mostly because he took good care of it. He took another drag from his cigarette, staring at the sky as a puff of smoke was exhaled from his mouth.
The blonde sighed, waiting for a moment. Today had been uneventful. Lousy teachers, noisy students, and a long day. Tomorrow would be better, however. He was being transferred to a school known as Raira Academy, where he could branch off as an artist. Shizuo felt his heart flutter, just for a moment. Finally, he could do something that his good-for-nothing father never accomplished. He doubted that he'd ever have kids, but he wanted to be a good role model for his nieces and nephews, if his brother had any himself.
Tomorrow, maybe, he'd be able to escape this horrid school. Maybe he'd be able to find people like himself. Yeah, that'd be nice. No more annoying kids. No more angry teachers when he played his guitar. It'd be nice to play without being hindered. Yeah, tomorrow was a new day.
