An excuse to say that Victor attracts insects because he plays with flowers.

I imagine...

Victor staring at the test he just got back, seeing the bad grade written across the top, his eyes starting to sting as a few tears slip out because all he can think about is how disappointed Jazz is going to be. Maybe he's already bracing himself for a lecture before he even gets home.

Only for Jazz to look at the paper, for a moment.

Victor already sees it, he's angry- He knew it- he-

Then, on top of Victor's head, Jazz's hand rests, quietly saying,

"I already told you, vicky, I'm not angry at you."

"You're already doing a lot just by trying."

"The next one will be better. I believe in you, don't forget that."

Because for Jazz, the bad grade itself doesn't matter, but rather knowing that Victor strives every day at school to be better. He knows that scolding him won't help anything. When Jazz was Victor's age, he would have given anything to receive that same kind of understanding from his father.
