I just realized i forgot to put the date for the next part of the comic, so that's fixed now; however, there's a small? ish? chance it'll either be short or I'll have to take a bit more time to make it...

This weekend, I'll be busy attending an event, and while I have the next three sub-pages thumbnailed, they're thumbnailed because they're complicated, and might need more refinement than usual.

Unexpected guests?

My apologies for not updating everyone sooner; i really did think I'd be able to get the update done... I won't go into details, but needless to say life had other plans and it's been a rough week mental health-wise as a result.

I'm hanging in there, but I'm not entirely sure when I'll be able to focus on drawing again. I don't want to make any promises i can't keep, so i don't think i can give a definitive date for the next page of Unexpected Guests this time... i really wish i could. I want it to be sooner rather than later, but later is better than never and that might be how it has to go.

so uh. In the meantime, i'm gonna try and take better care of myself, and i hope you all do too.

welp. I think i've confirmed another reason it's been hard to draw that has nothing to do with personal things like being busy or mental health, and everything to do with the fact my laptop's charging port is on its way out.

Unless I get the power cord at just the right angle, it constantly flips between plugged in and unplugged, which brightens and dims my screen, and makes a popup appear telling me that i'm set to a different performance mode. You can imagine this would be very, very annoying; I promise you that it very much is. Unfortunately, the cost of repairs is "you might as well buy a whole new computer".

I'd consider taking commissions to help offset the cost, but, I just spent this whole post saying it's hard to draw on this computer now ^^;; So I'm not yet sure what I want to do. But I figured i'd give you all an update on what I've learned about factors that affect the comic.

I'm otherwise doing ok! i've been visiting my family, and the break from my job has been nice. Hopefully once my computer issues are sorted, drawing will go much more smoothly and I can get back to updates again :>

good news: i spent the long weekends i got due to the holidays mostly relaxing and hanging out with friends, which was nice ^^

bad news: i did not draw

more bad news: i haven't been able to get much sleep the last few days x-x

so uh. sorry to say the next update will be delayed... i'm taking a trip to visit my family, so i'll hopefully be able to get some more rest then, and maybe get back some of my motivation. as always, i'm grateful for everyone's patience; with any luck the next page will go up next thursday instead <3

man... i hate to say it, but i've had basically 0 creative energy lately. there's plenty of things that could be factors, but no one singular reason stands out to explain why i haven't been able to work on much of anything. if there was, maybe i could do something about it.

i do have an idea of what i'm doing for the next update, but i can't guarantee i'll be able to get it done in time. so, i wanted to give everyone a heads-up that things are going slow and the update might have to wait until next week.

but hey, something to look forward to whether you celebrate a certain holiday or not :>

I forgot my phone at home today so i didn't see until just a few moments ago that someone sent me a very generous ko-fi tip to put towards a new computer??! That was so nice what the heck ToT

I might have an option that would be way less expensive, and this would actually go a long way towards covering that, so thank you so much <3<3<3
