Home headcanon 💖💖 for any of all ocs 💖💖

Hamal and Zevran help Ashalle move into her home, when settlement of Var’myathan first begins. 

It is not altogether unfamiliar—though rare, there are clans of Dalish that are semi-nomadic, and at least a few permanent Dalish settlements prior to the granting of Dalish lands. But for Hamal, it really is a novelty. Even if it’s not something he or Zevran are inclined to commit to just yet.

They stay with her for a few months. Zevran paints a halla onto her front door, its antlers stylized and filling the space with graceful arcs, framed with delicate leaves, and Ashalle is delighted. She misses them, when they leave for Antiva, after the season passes… and though they do eventually settle down and get an estate of their own, it doesn’t happen for many years.

i always found it weird that you see very little criticism of him, bc there’s a lot to criticize. and i usually just don’t talk about characters i don’t really like because i don’t spent my energy on shit like that. but. 

i think people who romance him, especially people who romance him as a lavellan, tend to forget that he owns slaves and defends slavery as an institution. he’s not your woke bae. he’s a wealthy slave owner who views everything that isn’t tevinter culture as quaint at best and primitive at worst. people shit on solas all the time for belittling the dalish but because dorian is kind of cheeky when he does it, it’s fine? 

and on that, dorian really is just kind of mean. he’s mean to other characters (i’m obviously mostly thinking of blackwall, my fave, and the only one i’ve encountered because i never take dorian out with me). and he’s mean to the inquisitor, even when he likes them. or i guess he “teases” them, but it’s so markedly different from how most of the other characters treat an inquisitor they like. i always have high approval w/ him because he’s pro-mage but i never feel like i’m actually friends with him because he’s just. not kind and considerate toward the inquisitor. it’s always so weird when he’s like “you’re my best friend, maybe my only friend” because my first response is “am i? you’re not mine”

and i completely get people latching on to gay poc presentation in a mainstream game because that is so so important, so groundbreaking. but i think in so doing, people want to erase the unsavory parts of him. like he’s either f!inquisitor’s sassy gay best friend or m!inquisitor’s woke bae. but taking him as he is in game? i just don’t like him. i desperately want to, but i don’t.

I’d say Cullen. I always headcanon that Cullen’s a really thorough kisser and that he really gets into it because he loves kisses. Their make-out sessions usually leave Imryll weak in the knees ;)

Oh, Cullen for sure. He’s Mr. “Get A Bright and Early Start on Your Day”. He wants to get everything started early so he keeps his work schedule (because Cullen lol). 

Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer?

Imryll. She’s a lazy bug who loves sleeping. She’s the type to take a 3 hour nap in the middle of the day if she has nothing to do. Cullen will get up, but she will wrap her limbs around him and beg him to stay for five more minutes because he’s warm. 

Cullen is a pushover and this works every time lol.
