Steve shook his head, missing the refusal for what it was. "I'd like the doctors to look over you, Buck," he admitted, leaning more forward in the seat, "but they don't have to keep you locked up for that. We can get you home and then they can look over you there."
As a matter of fact, that Bucky found himself dangerous at all went completely over Steve's head except to acknowledge what he'd mentioned first. The blond gave Bucky a reassuring smile as he finished speaking, and withdrew his hand so that it might seem less awkward between the two of them. "Besides," he reassured, "We can work with erratic. I'd like to get you into a more comfortable environment and see if that gets you a little off edge. Until then, we can handle it, Buck."
Steve had no doubt in his ability to do so. He'd seen what the Winter Soldier was capable of, but he also had seen Bucky's ability to at least begin to take control of that. He was confident that together they would be able to ward off any complications that they may have.
