Jellyfish sleep like humans — even though they don’t have brains

Studying ancient sea creatures’ snoozing habits could shed light on the origins of sleep.

⚡BREAKTHROUGH ⚡

Jellyfish sleep! Even though they have no brain. The nervous system also needs time to 'rest'. Which also means that sleep probably preexisted a brain and therefore also humans. The study was done on the upsidedown jellyfish and anemones.

Both sleep DAILY!

I wonder if that means that they can get sleepy and make bad decisions when they're sleep deprived 🤔
