The friendly fish has a damaged flipper and can’t swim well, meaning it can’t play with other fish. It wants to befriend someone it can just chill with and chooses a stargazer who ‘s always lonely and doesn’t move very much.
- it doesn’t get along with other fish of its own kind and chooses to hang out with its natural enemy because why not
The friendly fish just approaches the stargazer because it feels bad for it and they just watch stars together.
Maybe stargazer isn’t just evil, maybe it just really wants a friend despite looking like he has just another stomach instead of a heart.

More sketches and some concepts of The Nice Fish for my 3D animation project. I decided to pick a parrot fish as an initial design and play a little more with shapes etc.
