obsidian: which of the seven deadly sins my muse would be
Admittedly this is a difficult question. Marco is generally very pure of heart-- but when considering his flaws, it’s likely that his most obvious would be a general need to control things. He’s arguably wise and patient for his age, but he also has a tendency to think that he knows everything, and insist that the people around him agree and act according to his will. He can often become impatient and frustrated when others fail to listen to him. Considering this and in spite of his lack of self esteem ( which is likely where his need to impress those around him and consistently know best stems from ), it’s likely that of the seven deadly sins, he’d associate with Pride.
quartz: how my muse thinks other people see them
While he would like to think ( and often insists ) that he’s a dangerous, live-on-the-edge rebel, he isn’t foolhardy enough to truly believe it; let alone to believe that others believe it. He may protest that he’s a “misunderstood bad boy,” but at the end of the day he knows who he is. He may not always be satisfied with that, believing that he pales in comparison to people like Star and frustrated that he can’t be of more use, but those around him have made it clear that they see him as “the safe kid” who never takes any risks. Of course, he’s aware that this depends on the person in question; for example, he worries overmuch that he’d painfully ordinary compared to Star, and often worries that she feels the same way, despite her insistence that she thinks he’s “awesome.” Often, the way he believes people to perceive him is a reflection of the way he sees himself.
kyanite: an anger headcanon
While Marco isn’t immune to anger, he doesn’t tend to hold a grudge and almost never stays angry for very long. He’s far too logical to allow his emotions to run rampant, and usually after the initial outburst of his frustration he shifts gears into attempting to rationalize the problem and how to deal with it reasonably.
