Does he want people to magically understand who he is without him expressing himself properly?
I didn't mean that in a song he was addressing his audience/fans. It is clear that it's an intimate conversation. It's obvious. (It was a bit upsetting to be considered unintelligent, but at least you were kind about it.)
I've meant that in any relationship -romantic or friendship you make an effort to communicate your thoughts and feelings to a person thoroughly, to discuss things until they are understood. I've meant that in order for other person to understand who and what you are you communicate with words. And if there is miscommunication, you clear it up. So person's words, communication say a lot about a him. (Words of love or expressing that they care about you. Or if you promise something, whether your actions match your words or not. We try to figure out someone's character like that. At least I do. So if words are rude, brash, uncaring, or you see how they communicate with other people (are rude to a waiter for example) - you understand what kind of person you are dealing with. So his request not to judge him by the words he is saying seems a bit odd. So how do I judge you? Actions matter, yes, but words matter as well. You need to connect to a person. This is what I've meant.
English is not my first language, so I hope that I elaborated on my first question. Thank you, I hope I wasn't rude, I do come out as pretty blunt in English, grammatical structure in my language is different, so I'm sorry if it came out that way.
I didn’t call you unintelligent—both I and I think the other anon as well saw your response as an outlier, but your explanation clears things up about what you meant anyway.
As to what you are saying about the importance of words, that view is not always shared. Some people would say that you want to talk things to death, maybe. I know I’ve been told that. It’s not a matter of intelligence, not even emotional intelligence. It’s just a difference in people.
Am I understanding you correctly?
