Steammech As Parents Headcanons
How do we feel about Robert x Flambae x Waterboy fan babies. Adopted or otherwise, make that man transgender if you so please.
I get the feeling Flambae has some very strong mother hen instincts locked away in him somewhere. Perhaps Robert has a tendency to spoil them like he does Beef, and also he's not great with children so he treats them like dogs sometimes. Especially toddlers. Has them trained to respond to whistles when out in public and gives them "treats" all the time. He tells Beef to sit and they squat down with the hefty little chihuahua and Robert doesn't even bat an eye. Flambae catches him often including them in the cheese tax and is not a fan. Waterboy cares for them deeply, and often the only time he feels calm, focused, and centered is when he has his babies in hand, much in contrast with Robert and Flambae who do not enjoy being woken up every hour on the hour to change a diaper or warm a bottle. I don't know, he's just so sweet in game.
I get reminded of him getting everyone's orders in the 3 a.m. taco run and I'm imagining him being the parent who gets them McDonalds and Pizza Hut and whatever else they want on the way home from daycare. I'm also a firm believer that his power is directly linked to his emotions, his anxiety specifically, and that over time he can and will come to better control it. He handles being a father very, very, very well and often finds he's less anxious when he's being a parent.
Flambae warming bottles in the crook of his bicep while cradling itty bitty baby in other arm. He knows how to do their hair, and dresses them in those cute little pinterest outfits. His babies are dressed like tiny adults with the absolute best style. While he encourages them to get into extracurriculars like dance and gymnastics and wrestling, he doesn't force them. He's just persistent.
Robert. Robert who is,,, so so so nervous to have kids. He's so worried that he'll mess them up, that he'll be just like his dad never around and always priming them for survival, that just by having them he's sentencing them to death in the Mecha Man suit.
Flambae who tells him, "What? No. You're not putting my babies in that fucking machine." And well that's sort of that.
Mecha Man Blue doesn't have any children, but Robert Robertson does. Now he's bringing along a toddler to office barbecues and repeatedly telling Malevola to stop giving them her sword.
