The AU has had a name change.
This has been a long time coming, honestly. I’m going to change the name of the AU from Unexpecterchanged, to “What It Once Was.” I have decided to do this for a few reasons.
1. The name itself. I don’t like the name Unexpecterchanged anymore. Since the AU was created, I’ve dealt with people joking and trashing the name over and over and over and over, making me feel like my work wasn’t being taken seriously. That stuff hurts. It really hurts. The name of the AU made people treat it as if it was a joke, a meme, a shitpost. But I’m done with it.
2. The name doesn’t reflect the AU anymore. Unexpecterchanged is a play on the words “Unexpected” and “Interchanged”. It was titled of this because of the AU being a “role swap AU” where the purpose was to be unexpected. But this AU isn’t a role-swap AU anymore. So having this name doesn’t make sense at this point.
3. I just like this title better. It just sounds more professional to me. This is my AU, so I make the decision. And my decision was to rename it.
So if you have any Unex content, or plan on making any, PLEASE use the new name! I will still share content with the name Unex for a while, because I know people will need to adapt to the change. It is a big change, I am aware. I know. HOWEVER, just PLEASE remember to use the new name!
And just as a last thing, it is ONLY a name change. The AU is still the exact same. So don’t worry! Thank you for supporting me and my AU.
