Mini-review:
I randomly started this show because I didn't know what to watch, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise. You can tell it had a limited budget, but it sort of compensates for that by adding real-life news clips in a sort of docu-drama way. The story itself is both fascinating and engaging, even if it could have used more time to properly develop the characters. For example, I felt like the internal conflicts within the Youth House were resolved a bit too quickly. Still, the pacing is really good, and the five episodes simply fly by; it was more like watching a movie. I don't know if this was the goal behind Rebels, but I'll be looking up more information about the real-life events that inspired it.
