This weekends discoveries took us to a Turkish mosque that was opened in 2012 by President Jacob Zuma. According to my findings from Google, this particular mosque is the biggest of its kind in the southern Hemisphere.
This picture is of the courtyard of Nizamiye Masjid. In the centre of this courtyard is an Ablution fountain- the Arabic term for it is ‘Sardinvan’. The fountain is used by the believers for washing before they pray.
