My knowledge of Australia is limited to “everything will try to kill you, even the plants,” but I’m pretty sure you just declared war.
Sydney vs. Melbourne is a war that has been waged since the beginning of time itself. So bloody, brutal and petty is the war that a new state had to be created because neither side would allow the other to be the capitol of Australia. So intense is the hatred of each other that a poor Sydney girl, out of her own in the terrible city of Melbourne, was given water that tasted like sewerage, milk which tasted even worse, and a croissant burned on one side.

Wanda
THAT MUCH SHE COULD see for herself. The bruises hadn’t quite faded from his pale skin, a shadow of greenish yellow fading from sharp cheekbones, brandished with a smattering of cuts and knicks along his face. She slid the fresh cup of coffee across the table, nursing her own tea between her hands. “ And are you better now or do you need to talk about it? ”
Clint was always hurt, it was probably the closest thing to a superpower he had. When he mentioned being fucked up, it rarely meant that. Injuries tended to be his natural state. He wasn’t about to go on about what he meant, Wanda didn’t deserve that kind of a mess in her life and that’s exactly what Clint Barton was; a mess. “ You make it sound like I’m not always a mess. What other explanation would I have for charging head first into alien invasions with a bow and arrow? ”
“ I DON’T SUPPOSE I could convince you to let me go? ” The damsel act certainly worked on men, but Wanda was more likely to pop her head like a zit than to let that one get to her. “ You know me. Know what I’m capable of. Don’t let this get ugly. ”

one of these days, he’s going to remember that Wanda isn’t like other girls, the cliche thought bringing a smile to his lips as he finished toweling his hair. that was an understatement, cliche and all, tossing it towards the empty hamper with a tug at the zip up hoodie he’d worn almost to death, settling it more comfortably on his shoulders. but then again, he kind of liked the surprised look that she gave him, the fact that even though she knew it was a quirk, Wanda seemed to just... forget. every. single. time.
a half pounce over the back of the love seat she’d sprawled out on, tugging the book out of her grasp as he leaned down and pressed an overly chaste kiss to her lips, stayed there, then pulled back with the same smile still playing over his lips.
