9. Have you ever written fanfictions?

nope. never inspired me one bit. i was never much of a fandom person anyway and i like the social exchange that comes with rp and building a story together too much to even think abt any other format. i never even read it looool. it's just rly boring to me idk

18. What is one thing you’d wish to see more in the rp community?

i mentioned reciprocity here ! i also really kinda wish we all still used themes again even as second options for ppl tbh. not like the heavy coded container themes, that rly opened the floodgates to an era where accessibility was just not remotely a thing. i just mean even the minimalist ones for the sake of deep navigation and better discoverability for the contents of your blog. just cuz the tagging system for dash only gets rlyyy wonky and barely usable sometimes and it can be hard to find stuff.

like literally when i see that someone has a theme up i get a little giddy just cuz i know already it's gonna be way easier to read more and find things !!! and i'm saying that as someone who recently went dash only (only cuz i'm overhauling my themes to be just minimalist and sweet but still).

i wonder why we all moved strictly away from themes even just having them up as an extra option ?? that whole shift happened when i was away so if someone can explain it more i'd love to know !!

🍓 - What’s your sweetest rp experience so far?

Honestly in general, being so validated by you guys. I've always been super self conscious about roleplaying ocs and it's really only been a recent thing for me bc you guys are just. SO NICE, AND SO INTO OCS. I was comfortable bringing Behni and my Hawke in bc they are. originally such OLD characters that I had a good grasp on, but idk! you guys are very cool :,)

More specifically though, I do have to thank @calenheir for being there for me and being a good friend. I don't know if I'd be as encouraged or as active as I am without her and she is so so kind and thoughtful and ATTENTIVE. Every day I feel so spoiled writing with her because she is just a fantastic person and skilled writer and she is my number one motivator!!!! I'm very honored to be her friend!

🥔 - What’s the dumbest mistake you’ve made in rp?

I remember once I wrote a reply half asleep (we're talking on my phone, laying on my side in bed bc i was so excited to reply)...this was WAY before this rpc but I totally remember it being completely incoherent and my writing partner (who has been my friend for years at this point) sent it to me like. did you...mean to draft this? IN THE SWEETEST WAY. I PANICKED, just deleted the entire thing bc when I tell you. Idek what I was trying to write. and I just told them "give me like two more hours" DLBLFKSBGLASJBF so never agaiinnnnn If i am too tired i will simply sleep.

"oh but I am, très so. sincèrement désolé." mockery comes as dryly as she can make it, pointed and laced with as much sweetness as she can compress in perfectly mimicked accent. she's playful in her own way - one that could surely convince anyone that doesn't know her that she is entirely sincere. 

it surely helps that she knows how to be the image of innocence. doe eyes, soft head tilt, the barely present pout that just adds to gentle youth of her features. "would you a like a formal apology? just tell me the language, I'll get some nice fancy paper, the thick type. practice my cursive a little."

there is a near - imperceptible humming⸺barely a whisper beneath the chorus of haggling voices & clattering carts⸺which draws sellen forth like a hook tugging upon the fluttering heart in her ribcage . for a while , she endeavors swimming through the crowded sea in search of that alien tune before coming face - to - face with a person that is so unfamiliar , one she's almost certain she's never walked past before .

this merchant is , from what she's gathered , impossibly young & yet still shrewd , grey eyes catching their stall's lantern light like silver coins . she can almost imagine them smiling at a pair of noblewomen , selling nonsense charms which pulsed with power neither would ever understand⸺and she becomes sure of it , because there it is .

wrapped in black silk beside other trinkets of unknown origin , sellen feels the phantom pull grow ever stronger as if within it is an astronomical body so compact even light cannot escape its gravitational pull . she allows her feet to carry her closer , praying & hoping that the making at the heart of the world is not amiss to lead her here , an artifact that might be the key to its entrance .

a hand , then a flicker of light . she forms a reflection with the air to obscure her movements . when the merchant's silver eyes snap to sellen's electric blue , her lips loosen in a barely - contained panic as she desperately grasps at the air for an excuse . ❛ a charming selection you have here . perhaps you'll allow me a fitting of your fine jewellery , young sir . ❜

an illusory limb hovers over a ring here , a necklace there⸺she holds her breath as her fingers , in clever concealment , are delicately pinching at the black fabric .

The bartender’s impatience makes Felix smile. He spends so much time sitting at her counter that he’s half sure she already knows what he’s going for, but pretending to think about it makes it feel like some sort of ritual. Like he’s about to get wasted with purpose, and not just liquor.

Frieda’s accent is familiar. He used to struggle with it, but now he has come to appreciate it. Part of her charm, he thinks. Or at the very least, something he can recognise as safe when the substance takes over. He pretends to scoff, not annoyed in the slightest. “Do you talk to all your customers like that, mademoiselle?”

Felix points at a bottle behind her, not even bothering to tear his eyes away from hers. “Absinthe, s’il vous plaît. Thank you.”
