Let's See How Fast This Thing Can Go
Anyone who knows me personally would be rightfully bewildered by the notion that I would jump into a Network Marketing program. I've ranted and railed ad nauseum against pyramid schemes for a very long time. It was always my opinion that the direct sales model is a scam which targets bored housewives forcing them to spend an unreasonable amount of money on products that they'll never be able to unload, because all of their bored housewife friends are ALSO trying to sell it. So... Why on earth would *I* of all people sign on as an independent consultant for a network marketing company? Because this one is AWESOME. I was really tempted to ignore the invite a friend sent me on Facebook to join a party. I'm not a girlie girl. Like... At all. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE playing dress up as much as any other femme, but I'm really bad at it. I gave up on having nice fingernails a long time ago. I painted them a lot when I was a teenager - but I always ended up spilling the polish, or getting the paint all over my fingers, or scuffing them beyond repair while waiting on them to dry. For special occasions (prom, weddings, etc...) I would go in and get acrylics done - but I also play the guitar - and the acrylics got in the way. I usually ended up ripping them off within a few days, which drove my stepmom nuts. I figured... Hey. Free samples. What's the worst that could happen? So, I tried them. Now, I'm going to be honest. The first application was... Complicated. I didn't bother buffing my nails or pushing back my cuticles first, and I needed a third hand to hold the hairdryer while I was trying to seal the wrap to the nail. My partner had a good time laughing at my attempts... But they turned out! Right after I finished applying the first one, I cracked open a soda. No chips. No scuffs.
I knew then that this was a great product. Full disclosure. I have a career outside of the Jamberry universe. I actually like my job. I have amazing benefits, and the bills are paid. I get by comfortably enough. I've also been back in school lately. This spring I took a "Business and Technology" course and I studied a lot about social media marketing. I kind of fell in love with it. One of the most valuable forms of marketing comes from Word Of Mouth. People are more inclined to spend their money if the recommendation came from someone they trust. In the age of social media, it is SO MUCH EASIER to spread the word. If I get great service at a restaurant, I tell everyone I know. If a business pulls something shady, you bet I'll publicly put them on blast. That's how the free market separates the Next Big Thing from the flops. Most of the Jamberry stuff exists in the online universe, so I decided I'd go ahead and host a party to see if I had a knack for it. I had SO MUCH FUN. I got to post a lot of selfies with my jamicures, and create photo memes, and play games. I mean, I'm doing that stuff all the time online anyway. I was a little scared at first that I wouldn't help Kim (My Upline) sell enough. Let's face it. Some people just plain don't like being sold to. We're kind of conditioned to avoid it. Everyone's pitching something, and if we stopped and listened to every pitch - we'd never get anything done. But I'm online ALL THE TIME anyway. I'm constantly playing around on social media. So... I like the product, I like the business model, and I can get paid to do stuff I'm already doing. Worst case scenario. EVEN If I never sell enough product to pay for the consultant kit, I like it enough to use it for myself. I bit the bullet and invested in the kit. It was only $99 ($125 after tax/shipping), and they include A LOT of stuff in the kit. I talked it over with the significant other. He said that the investment was small enough that he couldn't find a downside, so he gave me his blessing. The party I hosted ended up making $250 in sales. You only have to make $600 in sales A YEAR to remain "active", and the only real penalty for becoming inactive is that you don't get commissions off your downlines. Meaning: I can pick it up and put it down as I please. I've heard some success stories of people quitting their day jobs and all that - but that's not what I'm about. I'm really just here to have fun and possibly make a little extra money for the gas tank. As an added bonus, it means I'll ALWAYS have rockin' nails. I'm down for that. If you want to host a party to find out if you've got a knack for this stuff, follow this link and fill out the form. http://awesomemanicure.jamberrynails.net/host/ We can do everything online either through the website itself, or in a Facebook group. Parties typically last one week, but we can go as long as 2 weeks if you want to overlap your friends' paydays. If you live in Colorado Springs, I can do an in-person party as well - just as long as you're willing to work with me on scheduling. There's really nothing to lose. The best part? You'll get a free manicure for hosting! If your party garners a lot of sales, you get EVEN More free stuff. If you have any questions, feel free to comment here, or email me through the website: http://awesomemanicure.jamberrynails.net/ While you're there, take a look at the selection! There are so many styles: classy (French tips, neutral colors) wacky (tie-dyed, sparkly, hologram) and EVERYTHING INBETWEEN. You can even design your own! My first sale was a custom wrap designed by another Jamberry consultant, so if you're looking for anything specific (sports swag, themes, etc) let me know, and I'll help you find a design! Please bear in mind that we respect the intellectual property of others, so we can't use any copyrighted imagery in custom wraps. I'm ready to hit the ground running. Let's see how fast this thing can go!
