Unit 316
Unit 316 is small, can you tell us something about each of them?
Unit 316 is sometimes called the girl squad by the other agents because all of the members are women. Neyha, Milan, and Afia are the only three introduced in part 1.
Milan Lang (red)
Vice captain of the unit and youngest of the Lang sisters and the catalyst for them joining the Knights in the first place
Her main color is ruby red
Milan came across some old pictures of family members in demon hunting attire during preparations for her 15th birthday. She did some more digging and find out about the legacy of the Langs was only partially based in their silverware company
She started training, hoping to become a member of the KOD by the time she summoned her Harbinger. Brooklyn Lang, the mother, found out about this and forbid her from it (for reasons that will become increasingly clear over the course of the series)
Her likes are motorcycles, swords, sunglasses, RnB, leather jackets, and martial arts
Her Habringers are Mary and Joseph, a pair of katanas with blades made of holy light
Her and Clover from Unit 7 are an item
She's the Buttercup of her sisters and her rebellious nature drives Brooklyn up the wall
Milan is a distant cousin of her bodyguard Keisha King James
Neyha (blue)
Neyha is a Redeemer. In Manifestos, Redeemers are humans given a holy spirit through external means like death
She's a first generation American, the child of Indian immigrants. Because of this, she felt immense pressure to make her parents proud and conform to American society
The definition of an insecure people pleaser. Appearances do matter and not just because she's a stylist. Before she became a Redeemer, she was definitely trying to fit into the model minority myth by being a doormat for her white peers just as long as they liked her
Her "alter ego" (aka the demon who lives inside of her) is named Kali for symbolic reasons
Neyha and Kali have an Eddie Brock and Venom type of relationship
While studying abroad in England, Neyha was killed by a group of girls in a sacrifice and the demon they summoned possessed her body. When she came to, the girls were all dead
Her and Sam Winters of Unit 3 used to be a part of a UK based organization called M.I.N.D before it disbanded
Her main color is gray
Neyha's favorite piece of jewelry is a gold elephant necklace
She wears butterfly frame glasses
Her and Roopa are in love
Afia (green)
Afia works in the Department of Alchemy & Poisons as an alchemist, poison maker, and assistant to Angelina Robinson so technically she works with all of the units and is just a member of 316 on paper
Sometimes she'll have the other agents bring her the remains of slain demons for experiments and studying
There's a lot more to her than what meets the eye, particularly when it comes to her romantic interest in Allen Santiago
A lot of her poisons center around starving demons (this is a detail you'll need to remember down the line)
She comes from a secret society of demon hunters in Ghana; as her family are descendants of one of its founders. Isolated by her overprotective mother, she turned to demonology and alchemy as her outlet.
Afia is a Spiritsinger. I have to flesh them out but think of them as primordial Reapers and Diviners while also not being either those at the same time.
Afia was working as a waitress when she was first recruited and is listed as an actress by the studio. She gets scouted for a modeling agency during the series as well
Her main color is tropical green
She's almost never seen without some type of head scarf
Afia wears a lot of gold jewelry
She likes lounges, the beach, hoop earrings, soups, simmer pots, and botany
