Isaac Bryce is the Unit Manager of Excavation Point Thestias. Alongside those duties he cooked and fed the entire team during the Principal Photography. He helped sustain us through the shoot by making wonderful warm meals to keep spirits high on Set.
Unit is such a undervalued but important and integral part of a film crew - Isaac was amazing, he really poured his heart into it! He is a current student of Film & Media Studies at Victoria University of Wellington.
We asked Isaac to talk about his experience on EPT:
“Victoria University gave me an understanding of cinematic theory and advice that would eventually lead me to discover EPT. I got involved with the project responding to an ad that was posted on one of the many social media film groups I joined as a result of my time at Uni. EPT is a project far grander in scale than anything I ever had a chance to partake in undergrad. From the size of the crew I helped manage to the out of this world story most film students don’t have the resources to help create. It’s a film that goes beyond the backyard of Wellington, and even Earth. A refreshing film whose success I truly hope will lead to more in its likeness: the indie market needs more like it.”
