Kate Stewart. Defender of Earth. 💥💥💥
Q&A with Jemma Redgrave and Ingrid Oliver answering all things UNIT and Doctor Who
Just finished "UNIT: Nemesis 2" - "Ten Minutes In Hell" and wow, Big Finish really said: Let's torture Kate Stewart.
Time for that soft hurt/comfort shit now with Osgood looking after Kate please and thanks.
I love how The Eleven goes from no earth culture knowledge whatsoever in UNIT Nemesis The Enemy Beyond to seeing him asking questions and learning in The Curator's Gambit. And then when the second boxset starts we see him in The War Factory, he knows exactly what The National Grid is and is able to correctly make a red shirts reference.
This makes it funnier that he gets so annoyed with Liv when she doesn't gets his earth references and laments that Helen isn't there. (Seriously Helen and The Eleven needed so much more audio time together than what we got).
Of course the question I have is *how* did he learn all of this? Did he spend many hours visiting museums? Did he come across Red shirt by seeing a reference to it in online discourse or Did he actually sit down to watch Star Trek with constant interruptions from.his other selves? I do really like the idea of The Eleven using his experience as an archivist to help him research what he needs to and carry out expanded reading.
