Action Plan for Half Term
My action plan for over half term is to take pictures of famous buildings in Liverpool for the unit 8 project. I am also going to take pictures of art work in different art galleries/exhibitions and analyse it.
Unit8 by Studio Otwarte
This gif I created was inspired by a gif I found on pinterest. It was made by cutting and pasting areas of the model’s face with makeup, on top of the image of the model without makeup.
This sample was create by wrapping my fabric around marbles and placing it in the steamer, once the marbles are removed the fabric keeps there shape. This is one of my favourite techniques to do as it is really unique and different and can create lots of different effects when different objects are used. WWW. This was successful due to all the marble shapes keeping form and how all the different colours blend together. EBI. Next time I could distress the fabric or free machine the fabric first then steam it to add detail.
To edit my images further, I have also decided to glitch them. I thought this would be interesting as I had seen a students work in the year above and thought it would be suitable to include in my project in terms of mental health. I thought this was relevant due to the focus on Body Dysmorphic Disorder. The different types of 'glitch' was relevant as I felt like this distorted the natural image of the face.
WWW- I felt like this linked to the case study as she felt like she was ugly and couldn't let anyone see her bare face, not even her family. I feel like this is an accurate representation as you cant actually see the natural face at all as it is either glitched, blurred or collaged.
EBI- I could develop these images further such as using over lays or adding text.
Here i have made a checklist of things i need to complete over the holidays to ensure that i am on task
This is my first artist copy, for me to develop my work i will scan my copy into Adobe Photoshop and use a pink background.
