Beautiful example of NOS Stowa, made in 1930′s. Chromiumplated case.
Movement: Unitas 146 central second.
Diameter: 33 mm.
The former mentioned base calibre, UNITAS 146 was sometimes completed with a central second train. This incomplete Stowa let us see the lack of the auxiliary train.
Variation of Unitas 146 with central second. The seconds wheel train is mounted and not integrated on the going train.
Watches with central second came into fashion at the end of 1930′s or early years of 1940′s.
A lot of manufacturers were looking for a quick answer to tendencies and were keeping former movemets in production with slight changes.
