Today, during the Heat & Frost Insulators Local 5 pre-apprenticeship, veterans learned the proper way to build a full containment/regulated area, which consists of a workroom for hazardous materials, a dirty room for decontamination of their personal protective equipment (PPE), a shower room to ensure all contaminated equipment is properly washed and cleaned, and a clean room to protect themselves from any contaminants. They also learned the inner workings of perhaps the most important piece of equipment on future job sites, their respirators.
