The design of the new Lumia phones is mostly getting “meh” reactions. From initial hands-on reports, Hello is more like Alpha than Beta since they couldn’t even test the iris scanner tech (at least on the phones). I guess Microsoft has a month to sort it all out. Continuum and Universal Apps are nice and all, but people still won’t be able to play Clash of Clans on their Windows 10 phones ;). The Surface Book is super cool, but I’m baffled why they didn’t take it next-gen all the way by including two USB 3.1 Type-C ports instead of your daddy’s USB (maybe they ran out of time). I predict the Surface Book will be high on a lot of people’s wish list, but it will remain just that – a wish – because when people realize the cost of the dedicated graphics option, they will likely end up buying something like the upcoming HP Spectre x2 or a Lenovo Yoga instead.
With all this said, Microsoft is definitely shedding the Balmer years and leaving them behind in the dust. Panos Panay is a good addition to the team, and it seems like Microsoft knows that since he got promoted from product head (Surface) to group head (Devices) in less time than you can say “dynamic fulcrum”. His dynamic speaking style and flair for the dramatic reminds me of Steve Jobs, and pretty soon (if not already) Microsoft will become the new Apple, Google will become the old Microsoft, and the cycle will continue until the Earth explodes from all-out war with Apple-, Google-, and Microsoft-branded Terminators.
???? What has apple copied from the Surface? If anything that Book model, looks like a Macbook Pro except for the hideous hinge.
If you're gonna point out someone using the word "disgusting", then maybe refrain from using the similarly opinionated word "hideous". Just saying...
