Regarding Universal Evolution and The Dark Forest
The basis of Universal evolution is that black holes form new universes with physics similar, but not identical, to the universe that spawned them. This means that on a multiversal scale, universes that create more black holes proliferate more than universes that don't. At the end of The Remembrance of Earth's Past, the universe would not survive to create a Big Bounce due to all the mass that had been sequestered from it thanks to The Dark Forest leading civilizations to removing themselves from the universe along with large quantities of mass so that they could be self-sustaining micro-universes that do not produce more universes.
This all combines to indicate that The Dark Forest is selected against in Universal Evolution, and thus making it exceedingly unlikely that our Universe is a Dark Forest.
