Before we get into the individual cards I want to quickly share some themes that are coming up for this New Moon. One of them is the solidity of our words.. especially at this time. One of my teachers recently mentioned that "words are law" and this is exactly the emphasis I want to make around this New Moon. We make jokes about our lack, we say angry things we don't mean, we use foul language about ourselves.. remember that what we voice vocally has an energetic charge that is let out into the Universe. This moon cycle, get very specific and dignified in the wording you choose. You want a higher experience of reality. Elevate your words. Not your voice.

The second thing is about our inner child.. as having quite a few Geminis very close to me in my life I know that their magic is playfulness and childlike wonder... but sometimes children get tantrumy when they don't get their way. Ask what your inner child needs from you.. There's a service you give to it, a way you honor your innocent heart by treading the path you are on. Have you made it promises about following its sacred curiosity? If so, make sure you live up to those.. because as I mentioned "words are law" at this time and your inner child will make sure to get your attention if you aren't listening to it. In liberating its innocence, you liberate the innocence of all of us.

One of my favorite astrologers has written about how intense this time period might be for some people. Not just because of our New Moon in Gemini but because Mars is also creating some funny business. Especially because it is moving retrograde... and when the war God is moving backwards he always likes to reek a little havoc. You may have to face things you thought you were done with.. but you don't have to do it alone. Strength reversed isn't necessarily about asking for help.. this time around, it is about being able to openly share your process with those around you. To move into deeper connection with our fellow man, and our fellow planet, it is about time we take off the mask that we have it all figured out. We don't. That's okay. It is okay to be confused.. to be sad.. to be lost.. in endless questions.. but the answer to everything, it is always Love. So, even in your greatest struggle.. how would Love speak? How would love act? Your heart.. it knows the answer.

For those of you who picked this card, hoooraaaah! There is some healing, rejuventation and integration on the horizon. If not with this New Moon, very VERY soon. My only advice, be gentle with yourself. Tend to your heart. Luxurious baths. Beautiful smells. Colors that make you happy. Adorn yourself in the things that bring you wholeness. Spend time in nature. Go swimming in lakes, the ocean, a river... whatever it is. Rejuvinate yourself. Be loving and gentle to you. There is some peace in store for you at this moment in time.

There are moments in our lives we re-discover how deeply something hurt us but it is not until we spend some time in solitude with ourselves with nobody around. Yes, that includes your partner. We understood in that experience it felt like crap but most likely you didn't get to feel in the bottom. It could be for a number of reasons from the hype of our society and its "get over it" dynamic or "people have had it worse." Maybe you were too young to even understand what happened... maybe to survive the experience you had to put on a face like all was okay. Unfortunately, for the transformation that is coming to this planet... this cannot continue any longer. You're a little scared.. who are we kidding beautiful soul.. you're really scared. You are scared if you go into the dark what seems like a bottomless pit of that pain you will never return.. but everything in this life is temporary.. everything.. and when we can stop avoiding.. and we can start honoring and feeling to the bottom, by some miraculous fate.. everything gets brighter. It doesn't make any sense, but I can promise you it does. You're ready. You can't fight anymore.. and I think you know it. It is time to go there.. because you deserve to give yourself the time to process what happened but also because you are deserving of the magic that waits for you when you move through it. You more than anyone else in this world is deserving of your own love and attention.

We have an Airy New Moon and the suit of Swords all about Air. Communication, ideas, intelligence, spiritual concepts.. these are all things that come with this element. You may be lacking clarity about the path you want to tread next.. you might be even unclear in your words... take this time to retreat within. Listen to your heart. What do you really really want? What makes you want to jump out of your skin? Get really specific. Not by when something should happen.. but what you want to feel, what you want to do, how the person who would have the vision you want would think. Write it down. Turn it into a mantra, an affirmation. You want to let go of a shitty habit? Get clear as to why. What will it mean once you let go of it? What does it give you more of? All of these themes are things to explore. If you're tired of wishy-washiness... then get clarity on your intentions. Get passionate about them.

It is time to get sexy. To get romantic. To fall in love with love. To move with seduction and intimacy. This could be with your current partner, it could be with someone who is on the horizon.. but it could also be with life and God.. and ultimately yourself. Those things you keep preaching about.. and yet see no result of them in your life.. is that because are not really true? Do you really believe it at your core? The heaviness that you carry in your heart. It is time to align your beliefs with the things you actually want. We do more service for ourselves admitting we don't believe something but want to learn how to then faking a state. Once the truth is out in the open, it is capable of shifting, so what is it time to admit? Another message is that are your expectations of what things are supposed to look like getting in the way. Are you bartering with the Universe about what abundance or love or happiness is "supposed" to look like. Maybe it is time for a shift of perspective. Maybe it is time to trust a little deeper and stop giving the thing that sees all and is all, rules on how things should be. These, these are the themes you will be working with for the next 2 weeks.
