In August of the 1940s, this was how you set your table during the last full month of summer. With its pale pastels and bouquet of pink and lavender iris flowers, this rare 32oz pitcher was made by Universal Cambridge Pottery in their Camwood Ivory style. Over the past 8 years of collecting I’ve only discovered three pieces from this pattern - a nesting set of mixing bowls, a cake plate and this pitcher. Understandably, people hold onto these irises because they are so classic and so summery. The mixing bowls went off to Maine a long time ago but both the pitcher and the cake plate await a new paradise where summer has space to bloom all year long. Find them in the shop! . . . . . #vintagepitcher #irises #summertablescape #universalcambridgepottery #summerdecor #cottageliving #cakeplate #cottagedecor #1940skitchen #pastelaesthetic https://www.instagram.com/p/CDbpI-CJh_6/?igshid=1c7fbfffiff2c
