‘ so you and andi are, uh... ’

helen trails off, realizing belatedly that she isn't really sure WHAT miles is to her sister. if she's honest, her first impression is mostly that he's a little weird, but she could say that about any of the shitheads. andi has peculiar taste in company.

‘ ... business partners? ’

@unklear sent an invitation.

her expression does nothing to betray the SATISFACTION she feels, seeing his eyes follow her with that distant, stunned expression. she supposes this must be what it means when someone looks like they've seen a ghost.

if her doctors knew she'd traveled all the way to greece so shortly after demanding to be discharged from the hospital, against recommendation, they'd be frustrated by her recklessness.

overexertion is a pale threat, however, in comparison to seeking out her would-be murderer.

‘ you look surprised to see me, miles. you INVITED me, didn't you? ’

@unklear wants to know the plan.

it's getting quiet in the bar now. most patrons have already filtered out -- even their own group has slowly started to disperse. only andi and miles seem to have no interest in leaving.

they sit side by side, a single NAPKIN between the two of them. andi doesn't speak, sipping patiently from her glass. miles was the one who had taken an interest in her scribbles ( of course, she'd known he would, hadn't she? ) so she waits, ready for whatever GRAND IDEA he intends to float in her direction.

@unklear came for a visit.

she isn't surprised that someone leaked her email to miles. expecting LOYALTY from any of the remaining disruptors was a dream that had suffered a wildly public death. she isn't foolish enough to nurse those hopes in private, months after the fact.

if anything, she's surprised miles had the GUTS to show up unannounced. but she supposes courage was never really his shortcoming.

‘ let's hear it, ’ she invites, settling across the table from miles. ‘ what do you think you have left to say? ’
