"There's not a lot of letters." she took the pen and a paper. "I just have to write the same thing as in the book right?"
"Well, it becomes a lot when you have to do it with every vowels." She chuckles then nods. "Yes, you can follow the examples."

"There's not a lot of letters." she took the pen and a paper. "I just have to write the same thing as in the book right?"
"Well, it becomes a lot when you have to do it with every vowels." She chuckles then nods. "Yes, you can follow the examples."
"Teach me!"
"Ah, I’m not sure that I’m a good teacher but I don’t mind trying." She chuckles softly, pursing her lips. "It might be better if you write, wait here." She gets up and walks to her desk, grabbing a pen and a few papers then comes back and places them in front of Gemma. "When Koreans learn their alphabet, it goes like this: ga na da ra ma ba sa ah ja cha ka ta pa ha. Then you just have to change the vowels."
Ahhh I see!
"Now, you just have to learn all the letters and you will be able to read if you train." She smiles.
"It's always together, never alone."
"Exactly. For example, if you want to write the sound "A", it’ll never be the vowel by itself. You have to add the consonant that is a circle at the left of the vowel."
"Yes ready! Ga-eul~"
She smiles softly then points at the first letter of the book. “There’s 12 vowels and 19 consonants in the Korean language. There’s never one without the other. Words are always formed with one or two vowels and one or more consonant.”
"Gemma... My name is Gemma." she answered sitting down on the chair.
"It’s a pretty name. It’s nice to meet you, Gemma. I’m Gaeul." Her smile stretches over her lips and she then goes to pick up the books, coming back seconds later with them. Sitting down next to the girl, she opens one of the books. "Ready?"
"Yes I would love that!"
"Great." She smiles then walks towards one of the tables. "I’ll go pick up the books, just sit down, okay? Ah! What’s your name, by the way?"
"I want to learn to read."
"Oh, sure thing." She smiled and gestured to the tables and chairs in a corner of the library. "How about we sit and look through the books?"
