Keep Children Reading the whole summer
As a child, meant summer to me more time to read. I know that sounds extremely boring, but I had a fascination with books. They took me on a new adventure each new story that I started and I was addicted early. As much as I loved being out there, I loved to read even more. I would sit out on my lawn chair, or in a tree and read until my eyes hurt. I would ask my aunt to take me to the local library and would check out as many books as I could bear and realistic reading of the time, I could lend books. Most children do not have love for reading as I did growing up, but there are many family-friendly reading program available for young people to keep kids reading all summer. I think the basic reading in your home is a great way to encourage children to read. I started young with my children, read to them as often as possible. I have books in the bedroom, bathroom, in your car, you name it .... There are books.I think children learn from their models. Since I showed them that reading can be fun, they are eager to learn to read and read on their own. If I have time to kill, I take a book together, as well as books for my children. My son has been learning to read in the last year and doing quite well. He is definitely keen. I have taken the opportunity to write him up for local reading programs to keep him excited about summer. These opportunities are endless.Generally when I read (steal time from cooking or cleaning), my children ask me why I have laughed. Many times, I recognize also some TIME-bit of information I have learned with my husband or my children. They see that I learn by reading, so they want to participate. I take them to the library every two weeks so they can experience picking out their books and actually read them. Often, I find my oldest son in a corner reading quietly or even tell stories with his brother. Bookworm in me always smile at those keepsake moments. To continue to encourage a love of reading in my family, I have used several ways. The first is Target's reading program Ready, sit, read! This encourages families to participate in reading, offers book reviews, reading tips, club benefits and can be attended alone or with other families. The site shares activities to participate in after reading a book, to integrate materials with crafts and other activities. The site allows parents to browse through the parent material, sign up for their newsletter, and print coupons to use in your local Target store. In the Target is Rif.org also sponsors a reading program. Based on your child's age, you can register them and record their reading time from May to August meeting their reading hours and also win a gift card at Target. This is a fun way to keep kids motivated to read. The site is very child friendly, has colorful graphics, and will keep kids coming back to this page. As a child, log their hours for reading in the reading club, is a rocket waiting for more time to be seen and counting down for the children to complete a certain amount of hours (based on their age and reading level). My son is excited, and reminds me to make sure that his books are logged. Most local bookstores also keep the story-time dates in summer, which often includes crafts. I am often tempted to buy books through these vendors, but I choose to participate in the local library's story time, which is free and has the same benefits. By exposing children to these activities, they generally find them enjoyable (and before you know it will ask for more). Pizza anyone? Book-It is a very friendly also for the children by Pizza Hut. Generally, this is going through a school or another local organization, but more information about subscriptions can be located via their website. Each month, a child receives a coupon that must be filled out with three books. When this is finished, the children redeem the coupon for a free personal pan pizza. They get stickers for each completed coupon and at the end of the year will receive a certificate. This motivated me to read a child and was much more rewarding than the book reports.Learning can be fun and the programs offered for children can be rewarding, fun and enjoyable. There are many other programs out there, but these are the ones I know and has chosen to use in my home. Happy reading.

After a couple of days to go on these ads on your time so they can design their posters to the rides. Remind them to use tricks to get people to come to their rides. Some examples are 5 tickets for $ 1 or Child Free By going with an adult. Can reach some very interesting ideas.NOW children fill out an evaluation of saying the name of your trip, what kind of simple machine or machines that are made and how they work. This will become a class presentation. Then the last thing to do is finish the second page of the evaluation that tells you how to believe he did with his project. It is really a fun way for students to learn about simple machines and what they do.

The Pursuit of Happiness is meaningless - let me explain why
The 7th May due out 2007 issue of Newsweek carried an article by Rana Foroohar to "The Joy of Economics. The writer quotes from a detailed survey on happiness, the product of research by scientists at Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Ten countries each from Denmark to Mexico, Tanzania, Russia and Egypt to India have been chosen as "The happiest nations," "The Least-Happy Nations" and "countries with the largest disparities between happy and unhappy citizens' review. The happiest nation, according to the survey was Denmark with 8.2 rating in the 0 to 10 scale. Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Finland, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Luxembourg and Mexico have not bad. They rated 8.1 to 7.6. The least happy nations of Tanzania (3.2) were, Zimbabwe, Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Bulgaria, Pakistan and Russia (4,4). Surprisingly, Pakistan, with political unrest and instability since its conception, does not rate very bad. At 4.3 they were only 0.1 less happy than the Russians. Now, the last category: "The countries with the largest differences between the happy and unhappy citizens "...... Egypt on top of the list, along with Nigeria and India, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey were at the end of the list. In preparing the above-mentioned special report by Rana Foroohar for the magazine, there are some interesting points that deserve some consideration: Wealth alone is not necessarily what makes us happy. After a certain income cap, we just can not get, any happier.Rather told as people to work harder, can politicians discuss work-life balance. The happiest countries cited in the report, that the Scandinavian countries, including the top of its suicide rate. Surprisingly report rating countries low on the Happiness scale, fewer suicides. So the question is: do you measure happiness and scaled? Can it be assessed? What is happiness? Can we define the word and standardize such a definition for all humanity? Prince Siddhartha leaving his palace to happiness in the solitude of the forest to find. His quest for happiness ultimately leads him to meditate, to the meditative way of life. Not so with the Prophet Muhammad, he found happiness in the service of society as a statesman and a man of God. Jesus finds happiness in the separation of the secular kingdom of Caesar from the heavenly kingdom of God. Krishna tries to create such an empire in this very world. What is happiness? A monk is looking forward to charity to live. A clergy working for a living, he can even own company, in fact companies. The Newsweek report admits shyly that "wealth alone is not necessarily what makes us happy" - prove the facts on the ground that "Wealth is not connect all that with happiness." The Buddhists, Hindus, and Christian monks and Muslim Sufi fakirs find happiness in giving up wealth. It may not be much, but when you think of their impact on society - you will be surprised! People have different standards, different paradigms, different conditioning and thinking. And they define "happiness" according to their different ways of thinking. So, it's just not possible to assess happiness. Apparently, Newsweek has deliberately. They invited the visitors to its website for either happiness could be assessed to vote or not. You could also check for "I do not know." Majority agreed that the happiness could not be rated! Yes, happiness can not be evaluated. And this explains why after a certain income level cap, we just do not get no happier. "In his second May 2007 on-line report presents BBC News Home Editor Mark Easton very interesting facts: "Britain is less happy than in the 1950s - despite the fact that we are three times richer, the share of people they say. are "very satisfied" from 52% in 1957 to almost 36% today like the stories of the wealth because they must be translated for extra luck, the history of the Western World | .. | "In almost all developed countries have happiness levels largely static over the past 50 years - despite huge profits. What happiness research suggests that once average incomes reach about £ 10,000 per year, more money does not make a country not happier. In our survey, we asked whether the government primary objective should be the "greatest happiness" or "the greatest wealth" are. A remarkable 81% wanted happiness as the goal. Only 13% wanted greatest wealth. Should students be taught how happy ?......( asked) whether they should be more emphasis on the schools teaching students how to put a happy life and achieve less in the training for them the world of work thought. A majority - 52% agreed that more emphasis should be placed on the luck - 43% disagreed with "less friendly, the survey asked whether people felt in their neighborhood was more or less friendly than it was 10 years ago 43%. ?. said less friendly, up to 22% of people said it was friendly comparison What makes us happy, almost half of the people - 48% - say that relationships are the biggest factor in making them happy is Second Health to 24%.?. .
