I know we get more explanation later about how Violet got dedicated at first, but what is the significance? If Violet chose of her own free will now to dedicate her life to Dunne, it would be a lifetime commitment. But why would she if she's in the middle of leading a war? Surely the priestess knows she won't give up on the war for a life at temple. Unless that somehow could guarantee a victory against the venin. Any good fan theories out there?
