Don’t think I ever posted these, but this is my Unplanned Variable Envangeline! She has different outfits for when she’s down planetside versus when she’s lounging around on the Unreliable or visiting Groundbreaker. So far she’s recruited everyone who asks or agrees to come on board, but by far her favorite squad is Felix and Parvati.

Saw people posting their Unplanned Variable/Stranger/Captain "Hawthorne" and here's mine. I got lazy and just threw my D&D OC to the Outer Worlds lol. I'm barely into the game so I dont really know much other than she's slightly more chaotic neutral than D&D Vera and is basically fuck corporations.

Also she lies a lot. That's one thing.

Jasper's Unplanned Variable questions

Companion Time!

What do they think of the companions? Friendships, crushes, dislikes, etc. 

Even though she regrets not dodging the draft and boarding the Hope, Jasper does love the makeshift family she's picked up along the way.

How do the companion quests go?

The only ones she wouldn't necessarily consider friends are Max and SAM. SAM is a nice acquaintance who's gotten less scary, Max is annoying, but she's willing to put up with him. Most of the time.

Parvati and her are very close, Ellie and her are basically bffs, Nyoka would make a great drinking buddy if Jasper wasn't so worried about her, and there may be a liiiitle crush on Felix. Just a bit.

Parvati: Jas wanted to set up her and Junlei before Pavarti even expressed interest. She made sure to do her best to keep her temper under control and do her best to gather up everything that was requested, tracking all across the colony. She wanted to make sure Parvati was happy with everything. She deserved it.

The only thing she didn't enjoy was getting Parvati's clothing. As mentioned, she isn't a fan of Celeste and would've much preferred to skip that part.

Max: In the beginning, it didn't stand out much to her, she wasn't his biggest fan. But he was going places she needed to go anyways, might as well let him tag along.

The end of it would've been pretty great. She's seen no sign of space weed and was looking forward to a good high, law know she needed it. Unfortunately, seeing all of Max's hallucinations kind of dampened the experience.

She did get a few more memories back, though. Notably that she knows some French.

SAM: Automechs give her the creeps. She is not a fan. SAM is a slight exception. Fixing him up certainly was good for the ship. The Unreliable has never been so clean. And he's saved her skin a few times now, and over time, she's gotten less wary around him.

Felix: Ah, the beginning of the hard ones. She never trusted Harlow from the beginning, but Felix wanted to see it through, just in case, so she allowed it. Trask was confronted, she knew something was fishy about the whole thing. She took his ring to fake his death.

She doesn't feel bad about shooting Harlow. It was him or one of them, and she'd be damned if she let that happen. She and Felix didn't talk for a bit afterwards, but they were able to work through it.

Ellie: Meeting her parents made Jas a little nervous at first. Fortunately, Ellie's folks made things easy on her. Not long into the meeting, she was restraining herself from punching or shooting them. The whole thing irked her. She couldn't imagine someone treating their family like that. Pissed her off something fierce.

Committing insurance fraud was a good deal of fun (and felt vaguely familiar), and Ellie finally came around and admitted that having friends might not be so bad and that the family she has now is the only one she needs.

Nyoka: She felt horrible for Nyoka. To find all your friends dead like that was awful. It hit a little close to home, Cass was still frozen, and she had no idea what awaited her on the Hope.

She took the Mantiqueen head-on, making quick work of the intruder, and took a couple of nasty injuries while she was at it. After that was all looked after, she left Nyoka to have a moment alone with them and later encouraged her to keep their medallions and keep their memory alive with her.

I can guarantee you she put them there. Besides the fact that she does ship just about anything around, she's asked to (gotta make ends meet somehow), sometimes it's just nice to have a little taste of home.

Every time I hear this song, I can't help but imagine her tearing through Halcyon and knocking down everything and everyone that stands I her way.

Three random facts about them.

Her favourite colour is purple (hence the dyed hair)

She's managed to convince Parvati to help her scrap together a still in the Unreliable's bay. (Tobaccorn doesn't make as good of hooch as Earth corn, but it'll do)

Before they started getting along, her and Ellie had a one night stand so she (Ellie) could "get whatever's going on with her out of her system." That wasn't the issue.
