On October 28, 1943, there was a top secret experiment held by the US NAVY on the destroyer USS Eldridge. The project came to be know as the Philadelphia Experiment. What was said to the public later on was that they were working on an invisibility experiment in the hope of rendering the naval destroyer invisible to our enemies. What they did not disclose to the public was that they were also trying to find a way to teleport and/or time travel with the ship. Supposedly they had succeeded in the successful teleportation of the USS Eldridge, from Philadelphia to Norfolk. The rumor was that although they had succeeded in teleporting the ship, the crew also had become fused to the ship; meaning that they had become part of the ship with parts of their bodies sticking out through the walls and floors. The project was disbanded and never spoke of again. However, some people believe it all to be true, while others remain skeptical.
