{❀}   ”Kevin…?”  Looking up at him gently, Alyss rubs at her chilly skin.  They do their best in the cold months, but sometimes it’s hard to stay warm, especially without a fire.  Although Alyss does her best to keep her chill out of sight, Kevin’s known her long enough to know when she’s faking it…  She can’t help but be so thankful for him in moments like these…

"…thank you…"  Cuddling up against him, Alyss does her best to press as close against her companion as she can.  They’re both cold, but he’s always seemed a bit warmer then her, even in the worst of situations.  "…this kind of…"  A sneeze, and she apologizes profusely.  "…reminds me of when we were on the street."  With a small giggle, the girl in white wraps her arms tightly around his waist, cuddling into his frame as best she can.  "…all we had was a blanket.  But you found a way to keep me warm anyway…"

"Okay. This is seriously strange. Why do you look like how I used to look like but male?" Seriously. The woman just stared at him, not extremely amused by this situation.

Stars & Cold Nights:

{❀}  Oh how wonderful the air felt on her skin!  Even for the lack of sunlight, the simple lightness of this world brought a smile to her lips.  For once, she is free of the weight of the Core, and it's voice has finally gone silent.  Alyss could become drunk on this feeling.  "Kevin!  Kevin!  Look at the sky!  Don'y you see all these stars?  They're so beautiful--"  Turning, she finds that her cries have fallen upon deaf ears, and that he is entirely unconscious.  

This child in white could have left him--she could have gone out on her own to find some shelter, or perhaps wandered the streets in search of another soul to meet, but, on a whim--or perhaps some strange lingering attachment, that she chose to stay by his side.  Hooking her frail arms under his, she pulled him out of the street--away from an oncoming carriage, and tucked him away in a corner.  

For a moment, Alyss watches him sleep, running her fingers over his bangs, and taking in his handsome face... this man is her savior--he, for whatever price, has given her everything.  She hardly knows his name, and yet, Alyss loves him, with every fiber of her being.  "...thank you Kevin..."  She whispers, and, realizing how cold it is outside, huddles up beside him, pulling her dress up to cover her exposed legs.

❧ Guests. More and more seemed to filter themselves into her areas of free time other than when she was dealing with urgent matters regarding Pandora. This morning at to be one of the earliest she had gained any guests. Her time was slipping from her like normal and sleep showed no avail. Good for her completion no one usually tells when the young blonde was tired. That brings it to the current events of her sitting there staring at the guest brought in by the maid. "Hello there, would you like some tea and scones? They are delightful."
