it would have been so easy to say yes. despite everything that happened veronica didn’t hate jd, didn’t know if she could. here in washington it was almost easier, there wasn’t the high school to haunt her, and heather chandler was here and seemed to even be alive. she could almost pretend the whole thing was a nightmare, let her and j.d. fall back into each other without the high school nonsense and the social ladder, and everything that played into the murders. still, she had to play this cautious. “i don’t know if that’s a good idea.” she finally breathed out. “we weren’t very good for each other j.d.what if we just make everything fucked again?”
