Do you like writers? Do you like doodling? A SPOT ARTIST role would be perfect for you!

We've added the option to apply to be a spot artist on the contributor app form, with the same July 31 deadline. Best of luck, and don't forget—the clock is ticking! ⏱️

Q: What is a spot artist?

A: A spot artist is expected to create polished illustrations that are less than one page in size to accompany a writing piece. Spot illustrations are incorporated into the final layout of the writing piece.

In short, you will not be assigned your own part of the lore to cover; you'll be working with a writer to create drawings that complement their story. You should be flexible with the characters and lore you are willing to depict.

Q: Can I apply to be a spot artist and a page artist?

A: You can apply to both, but you'll only be chosen for one or the other.

Q: I already applied! Oh no!

A: Don't worry! If you're an artist and you've already applied, we'll automatically consider you for the spot artist role. If you would like, you may also edit your response.

Q: Why not announce spot artist roles earlier?

A: We had the idea maybe two days ago, and we thought it would be awesome. We rolled it out as quick as we could!

Q: How many spot artists are you looking for?

A: It will depend on how many writers we end up accepting.
