Geometric Mycelium.
Every once in a while I find something in my petri plate gallery that manages to leave me a little bit astonished. Macroscopic geometric features aren’t uncommon even in mold colonies, but I haven’t seen something like this before. There are four dikaryon colonies on this plate that are genetically distinct, and the lines are where the colonies bump into each other, forming a voronoi diagram. By chance, the colonies originated in such a way as to form a triangle shape reminiscent of the eye of providence archetype.

Meet Darkleaks, a Bitcoin-Powered Black Market for Secrets
03 February 2015 | Grace Caffyn | Coindesk.com
A new black market for secrets that rewards informants with bitcoin has been announced this week.
Darkleaks, masterminded by members of crypto-anarchist collective unSystem, will let users sell leaked data in an anonymous, trustless environment powered by bitcoin’s blockchain.
Amir Taaki, the project’s systems developer, told CoinDesk that platforms like this provide a financial incentive for insiders to reveal information in the public interest, thereby “devaluing business models based around proprietary secrecy”.

Weird News – Dark Wallet Promises to Make Bitcoin More Secure by Preventing Feds Easy Access
10 November 2013 | By Jessica Jones | tarborotimes.com
“The group, called UnSystem, are self-proclaimed crypto-anarchists led by Cody Wilson—who you may remember as the creator of the controversial 3D-printed gun. After getting himself in hot water with the government for making the digital files to print an unregulated weapon freely available on the internet, Wilson’s now endeavoring to bring Bitcoin back to its anarchist roots. Like other Bitcoin wallets, you’ll be able to store, send, and receive coins, and interact with block chain, the Bitcoin public ledger. But Dark Wallet will include extra protections to make sure transactions are secure, anonymous, and hard to trace—including a protocol called “trustless mixing” that combines users’ coins together before encoding it into the ledger.”
If it’s open source yeah but if it’s closed source—it’ll never take off. With something like that it would be too easy to skim money if people couldn’t look at the code.
