I just realized "Chastain" is a French surname •-• it was left over from my original iteration of Leo Chastain, a young woman who took over the superhero identity of The Ripper and was American-French I totally forgot to change it for my Miracusona .-. ...I'll be changing her surname to Schäffer later.
Check out this tag for more about Elliot “Leo” Chastain! There’s more under the page break! :D
As for the usage of she/her pronouns, please check out the “General Notes” post.

Lionheart
Leo takes on the guise of the Unbreakable Spirit, “Lionheart”, clad in a yellow-brown spandex suit mimicking the colors of a typical lion, with fur spots around his wrists, neck and ankles. He also wears a fur-covered mask, to imitate a lion’s face, which highlights Leo’s naturally amber eyes, though the whites of his eyes goes black. Instead of looking like a traditional spandex-wearing superhero, Lionheart wears a large number of unnecessary leather belts, most of which serve no actual purpose. There are two belts around each of his upper arms, two belts around each of his wrists, a collar-like belt around his neck, three belts around his hips, two around each of his thighs, and one around each of his ankles. Along with those generally unnecessary ones, he has a harness around his chest, the straps wrapping around his waist and another strap wrapping over his left shoulder.
Leo prefers close combat, utilizing his knowledge and understanding of muay Thai, as practically his whole body is a weapon (muay Thai is often referred to as, “The Art of Eight Limbs”). He does not have a Miraculous weapon, like the yo-yo or baton/staff, but instead has access to enhanced strength, speed and perception. Though not as powerful as his “berserk mode”, Leo can still jump great heights and is rarely outrun or taken out by enemies. Due to his choice of martial art, Leo excels in one-on-one, close quarters combat, but cannot effectively deal with multiple enemies at the same time.
His chest straps attach to an instrument that acts much like Iron Man’s arc reactor (the thing in Tony Stark’s chest), and it suppresses Lionheart’s natural “berserk mode”. The suppression instrument (the “Lion’s Roar”) is engraved with a lion’s head and it can detach from the straps and Leo’s “heart”, which causes Lionheart to go wild, gaining speed and strength equivalent to Leo’s Akumasona, The Ripper, at the cost of Lionheart’s ability to control his own actions. Additionally, due to this loss of consciousness, Lionheart cannot feel any pain, but his body will certainly feel the aftereffects, once he gains control of his body again. The “berserk mode” lasts for seven minutes, or until Lionheart is knocked unconscious, and he will stay transformed for five minutes before reverting back to Leo and Löwwe.
Löwwe is his kwami, who looks like a tiny lion. He has a relatively deep voice (I imagine Steve Blum, Vincent Valentine, as his English voice actor) and loves to act before thinking. He is quite protective of his charges, and sometimes overprotective of Leo, at first believing that she was not ready to take on the mantle of “Lionheart” (and, prior to Leo, Löwwe never had a biologically female host chosen for Lionheart). After seeing the passion and energy Leo put into everything she loved, Löwwe decided that Master Fu, as always, was never wrong in choosing her. He then started to train her, mostly against mental challenges, such as overconfidence, willingness for self-sacrifice and rash decision making, all weaknesses that every Lionheart-user had.
He loves meat! But, unfortunately, Leo is a die-hard vegetarian, which annoyed Löwwe when they first met. Leo feared Löwwe’s love of raw, still alive meat would affect her digestive system whenever they became Lionheart, so she refused to feed Löwwe any type of meat. To Löwwe’s amusement and surprise, Leo was able to make tofu in such a way which made it taste like meat, and Löwwe can’t get enough of it! He also loves watching Leo, a health-conscious person, cook and has fun being her helper by giving her the condiments and spices and whatnot whenever her father, Professor Wolfram Chastain, is not home. When not doing battle against evildoers, Leo likes running to stay in shape for track-and-field competitions, and, when finished, she enjoys relaxing by playing video games, especially role-playing games and first-person shooters (specifically, Final Fantasy X and Halo). Unironically, her favorite Final Fantasy characters are Red XIII and Lulu.
I was thinking about the ship names “bubblegoth” which, I’m convinced, is a nod to bubbline, and “julerose,” and wondered why it sounded so good to me. Then I thought, “oh yeah, duh it’s good, it’s like you put a rose and a jewel together”
then I thought about Juleka’s akuma form
JEWEL-EKA AND HER HAND COMPACT THING LOOKS LIKE A JEWEL
“We have a new student joining us today,” Ms. Bustier explained, trying to get her students to quiet down.
Marinette and Alya glanced at each other and started to whisper to each other in hushed tones, making up wild stories on who the transfer could be. Nathanael looked up with his one visible eye before continuing to scribble all over his sketchbook. Ivan looked as bored as ever, and Mylene simply giggled at him as he nearly failed to stay awake. Juleka appeared to fight exhaustion while Rose hummed and wrote in her diary. Max was trying to break up an argument about who was the faster runner between Alix and Kim, but it seemed hopeless. Sabrina watched in amusement as Chloe flailed her hands toward Adrien to get his attention, but he was talking to Nino, wanting to persuade the latter to watch some or another anime he recently got into.
Ms. Bustier sighed and hit her ruler against the desk, immediately hushing everyone as the loud smack resonated around the room. “We have a new student,” she reminded them, “and I expect all of you on your best behavior.” She held up a folder with the new student’s information and said slowly, “Elliot? Elliot Schäffer?”
“Hiya,” a voice replied from outside the classroom. It was low-pitched and almost authoritative, confidence oozing from that single greeting. A blonde head peeked in, and amber eyes pierced into Ms. Bustier’s. “I was waiting out here. Wasn’t really sure if you preferred I take a seat already.”
“Please introduce yourself,” she muttered, gesturing the student to come in.
The person named Elliot strutted into the room and stood in front of the class, a huge smile on her face as she slid her hands into her pockets. Her unruly blonde hair was streaked with platinum violet and only fell below her ears. She stood at 5’8, wearing a white sports jacket with yellow accents and black joggers, which fell over her grey and white basketball shoes. The shirt underneath her jacket was a black v-neck, depicting the outline of a tiger’s head. Elliot lifted her right hand and offered a short wave. On her third finger was a metallic claw ring, covering the finger from the knuckle to the tip.
“Name’s Elliot. Don’t call me Ellie or anything though, ‘cause that’s a terrible nickname. But anyway, nice to meet you all,” Elliot finally said, clearing her throat. “Sorry about the accent. I come from Germany. But I’m really excited to be apart of your class!”
Chloe snorted from the front of the class, and all eyes turned to her. “Talk about a fashion disaster. Just look at how mismatched you are! And can we please look at that stupid ring? What are you? Like, a lion or something?”
Ms. Bustier glared at Chloe and reprimanded her, saying, “Apologize now. If I hear another insult out of you today, I’m sending you to the principal’s office.”
Knowing that it would never happen due to her father’s position as mayor, Chloe flipped her wrist and said, “Ugh, fine. I am so sorry you chose to wear that outfit today.”
“Chloe.”
Elliot simply smirked, those amber eyes shifting toward Chloe. “I don’t think appearance matters much,” she replied, shrugging. “I like to think personality is most important. Who’s inside.” She winked. “But be yourself, Queen Bee. I don’t mind.”
Marinette and Alya started snickering, which prompted most of the class to join in their giggles. Chloe, beet red, snapped her head to the side and huffed, crossing her arms over her chest, with Sabrina, unsuccessfully, trying to reassure her.
“Elliot. Thank you for your… input.” Ms. Bustier shook her head, sighing again. “Would you please sit to Nathanael? He’s the boy in the last row back there.” She stood behind her desk and started flipping through the book they were reviewing. “Don’t forget to introduce yourselves to Miss Schäffer during the break, okay?”
Elliot shrugged and practically skipped up the steps, making sure to hop over Chloe’s extended foot. Nathanael quickly moved all of his art supplies to one side of the desk to free up some space for her. She offered him a small smile when they made eye contact, but he turned tomato red and started furiously drawing again.
“Now that we have that covered, would you please open your books to chapter seven? Elliot, just look on with Nathanael for now. So, can anyone tell me the type of rhetorical analysis…”
Elliot grinned and put her arms behind her neck as she examined all of the students in the room.
