The Wind Waker tells us that Aryll is a sweet little girl who adores her older brother and tries to help her grandmother. Then she's captured, and at least visually undergoes a change based on clothing (blue dress with orange flowers to purple dress with skull). I'm convinced the change is on purpose, and I'll use it for all it's worth.
(About under the cut)
In the LiWiAU, Aryll is five years younger than Wind. Based on her visual change in the game, I've decided to portray her as more independent and grown up, so for better or worse, she's now officially a teenager. She's:
very clever and intelligent;
has learned some basic self-defence, and knows how to handle a sword;
wants to join Tetra's crew, with the ultimate goal of finding a safe place for herself and Grandma to live;
is very good at solving puzzles;
ambitious;
still loves Wind and Grandma very much, and considers Wind her best friend;
likes Tetra, but is also at that age where it's funny to wind people up and see how pissed off she can make them, and she's figured out exactly how to piss Tetra off;
isn't terribly interested in the whole romance thing, and thinks Wind and Tetra making out is absolutely gross;
is good at cooking;
wears a worn leather bracelet with faded Old Hyrulean writing (she found it in a sealed chest in Grandma's attic and really liked the colours on it);
in a modern AU, she would be well on her way to becoming a scientist;
she's really good at reading maps and navigating by them, but hasn't acquired the skills to read tye environment yet;
will, in time, be knighted by Tetra and go on to establish the d'Archembault family.
now i don’t know what this says about me but my favorite thing about a man is when he has nice arms. when they’re nice and muscley but not too much yk?
so ready for after my final to just go outside. like going on a bit of a hike or tromping through the forest? i think everything will be right with the world then
