I love the song "Let me love you" because it's a stark contrast to those people who try tp tough love someone into higher self-esteem by saying "you can't love someone if you don't love yourself" like fuckity fuck off. Love is complex amd beautiful and someone with low self-esteem is going to think they don't deserve love, not automatically love themselves.

But the song "let me love you" is so beautiful like you know that person is gonna be there for you through everything and not force you to hide your depression and anxiety simply by demanding they do it or else they can't really love anyone.

on that note. it makes sense for lesbian/bi kids to idealize and worship grown women as like, amazing, perfect, so special, beautiful, can do no wrong, etc.

but how tf do you get past the age of like…18 let alone 30 and still be peddling this stuff though? that women are harmless angels?

whenever i see grown lesbians/bi women or “feminists” do this, i just KNOW they are either a full on abuser, or covering for their abusive friends, just on principle, by spreading this idea of female perfection.

the only other option is they’re woefully naive, fresh out of the closet, after years of bad relationships with men, and imagining this world of only Evil Men and Perfect Women in it to save their sanity. in which case, they’re being misled and exploited and will find out sooner or later about…idk…Reality. life really comes at ya fast lmao
