Team Cherry reveals the reason Silksong took so long to release: making sure steel soul was possible.

Team Cherry co-director Ari Gibson elaborated in an interview, saying "We would have been ready to release years ago, but at the last minute we thought we should check to make sure steel soul was even possible. It took William and I nearly 3 years and countless attempts, but we finally got it."
